Skeeby Lodge is a tranquil and pretty place to stay whilst discovering the beautiful scenery and wealth of historic places to visit in the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors. Skeeby is just 2 miles from the market town of Richmond in Swaledale. If you're travelling to the Lake District or Scotland we are in a central location, 1.5 miles from Scotch corner and the A1.
The house is a barn conversion which provides guest accommodation in the west wing of the courtyard garden with ample parking in our grounds. Each of the four guest rooms are at ground level with patios and individual access, so you can come and go as you please. In addition there is a 1 acre field garden where you can relax and which is also home to our free range hens.

All rooms are centrally heated with en-suite facilities of shower, wc and wash basin. There is a flat screen tv and free wifi access.
We want to meet guests needs with respect to the breakfast menu and time (so if you want a lie in, you've got it). Help yourselves to cereal, juices and fruit followed by a traditional breakfast including our free range eggs, and local butcher's dry cured bacon and sausage. If you prefer something lighter, try the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon.

Leave the A1 at Scotch Corner and take the A6108 to Richmond. After 1.25 miles turn left onto Scurragh Lane. We are located on the right after about 0.3 mile.
Skeeby Lodge is in a great central position being just 1.5 miles from Scotch Corner and the A1. It is a great stop over if you are travelling to Northumberland, Scotland or the Lake District. Alternatively, come and make this your base to explore three wonderful areas of Yorkshire; the Yorkshire Dales, the North York Moors and the Yorkshire Heritage Coast.

We are just 2 miles from Richmond, a Georgian market town with Norman castle and the country's oldest functioning Georgian theatre.
Outdoor activities available include splendid Dales walks as well as good fly fishing for brown trout and grayling, horseriding, cycling and golf at Richmond golf course. Visit wonderful waterfalls at Aysgarth Falls and Hardraw Force, the arboretum at Thorp Perrow and great local Yorkshire gardens. Spend a day at the races with Ripon Races and Catterick Races just around the corner.
Indoor activities includes visits to Yorkshire's stately homes, National Trust Properties and museums from Castle Howard, and Ripley Castle to Newby Hall and Fountains Abbey. Railway enthusiasts can take a ride on the Wensleydale Railway or NYMR. Sample real Yorkshire ale from the Masham Brewery Centres and the many wonderful Yorkshire Pubs.
